The NIHR BioResource in Cambridge has over 17,000 volunteers who are happy to be approached to take part in research studies.

Our participants are vital to our ongoing success. We always welcome new members!

Our current focus is inviting new volunteers from under-represented groups - particularly young people and ethnic minorities - and also patients with specific health conditions.

We also recruit patients through GP surgeries and hospital clinics.  Our nurses attend clinics to meet patients.  They explain about the NIHR BioResource in Cambridge and offer the chance to join.

Clinics we have recruited from: Type 1 Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Psoriasis, Vasculitis, Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
