BioResource Centre - Manchester

The NIHR BioResource in Manchester supports the recruitment of patients with common and rare diseases, as well as healthy people.

At the NIHR BioResource Centre Manchester we coordinate the recruitment of volunteers. We are supported by the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facility (CRF).

Manchester is the lead centre for the IMID (Immune Mediated Inflammatory Diseases) BioResource and some Rare Diseases projects (such as Neurofibromatosis Types 1 and 2).

Rare diseases recruitment is led by the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).

MFT's Wythenshawe Hospital also recruits to the IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) BioResource.
