BioResource Centre - Leicester

Our specialism is cardiovascular research.  We aim to increase our understanding about human heart health and living with heart illnesses

Here at the NIHR BioResource Centre Leicester, our main research interests are in common cardiovascular diseases including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension and vascular disease. Our two main research themes are Cardiovascular Genetics and Biomarkers, and Novel (or new) Cardiovascular Interventions.

We recruit participants to a wide range of rare and common diseases, COVID, IBD and Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Diseases (IMID).

The Leicester BioResource Centre is hosted by the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, in partnership with the University of Leicester.
