BioResource Centre - Sheffield

BioResource Centre - Sheffield is hosted by the Sheffield BRC and has recently joined our national network of centres to support recruitment of research volunteers from the local area.

The Sheffield BioResource Centre is part of the NIHR Sheffield Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). It is hosted by  the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and partnered with the University of Sheffield.

The Sheffield BRC was initially dedicated to neuroscience research since being granted BRC status in 2016, before expanding to a four-themed research centre in December 2022. The research themes include cardiovascular disease, infection and immunity, and imaging and engineering.

The Sheffield BioResource Centre is one of 6 new centres that joined in December 2022. More details will be published soon.
