The NIHR BioResource Coordinating centre based in Cambridge, coordinated the sending of ~50,000 DNA samples from the previous eight local NIHR BioResource centres to be genotyped using Affymetrix High Density array.
The genetic data generated has been made readily available for use in data only studies, and to re-call participants to research studies based on genotype.
