Study summary

In this study we hope to improve our understanding of the factors that influence food
purchasing.

The Behaviour and Health Research Unit (BHRU) is a Policy Research Unit at the University of Cambridge and funded by the Department of Health. The BHRU’s aim is to investigate ways to help individuals improve or change their health and lifestyle choices which are accessible for the whole population.

Evidence generated from such investigations can be used to guide government policy.

Participation: For this study we recruited 104 volunteers from the Cambridge BioResource to complete 4 online shopping tasks. They were asked to complete these twice over a two week period.

Organisation: This study is organised by Professor Theresa Marteau from the Behaviour and Health Research Unit at the University of Cambridge.
